Title I

Title I is a federally funded program designed to benefit students served in Title I eligible schools.  Title I eligibility is based upon Free and Reduced Lunch status at each school.  Schools must have 35% or more of their students on Free and/or Reduced Lunch to be eligible to receive Title I school-wide services.  The Title I program allows schools to promote school-wide reform through programs that increase the amount of instruction time, upgrade the quality of instruction by providing professional development opportunities and allows opportunities for parents to participate in their child’s education.  Anderson School District Two Title I schools include Marshall Primary, Belton Elementary, Honea Path Elementary and Wright Elementary.

At Marshall Primary School, our Title One funds are used for teacher salaries to reduce class size, parent resources, professional development for staff, and parent involvement.
